The Fibroid treatment in Houston is performed entirely through an IV, using X-Rays to identify the blood vessels that feed the fibroids and then carefully maneuvering microscopic beads into those arteries to plug them up, causing the fibroid to disintegrate. UFE allows patients to avoid surgery, preserves their uterus, controls symptoms, and improves the quality of life. The results are approximately nine out of 10 women who undergo uterine fibroid embolization will experience significant improvement in their symptoms or they’ll go away completely. This is an outpatient procedure and our patients can go back home after treatment so they can rest comfortably without having to stay overnight in a hospital room.
