Wedding Photography

Weddings are such unique events. Emotions a high and that’s what we look for. That tear in dad’s eye, the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time in her gorgeous dress: these are just a couple of the myriad moments we seek to record. Our job is to document the experience, the relationship of friends, families, and a couple launching a new stage in their life. Each wedding has a compelling story to tell. When a client says, “This is the first picture I’ve seen of my parents that actually looks like them!”, I feel like I’ve done my job. As an Austin studio photographer, after years of shooting and more than 200 weddings, I still find each one special and exciting. We aim to make each new wedding the best one that we’ve ever photographed. I work with my son Ethan Ham who is also a professional photographer. We work as a team. We are of different ages, heights and sexes, and each of us has a unique style to capture the event images. It’s always fun to see the variations after the wedding.

Portrait and Headshot Photography

Senior Portrait

These are some of the most important photos of a young person’s life. One thing they do not want are photographs that look like they came out of mom and dad’s’ yearbook. As an experienced senior photographer in Austin, I treat every graduate as the unique individual they are. First, I find out their vision for a senior portrait. Then we talk about the location for the photo shoot. This could be at the university, school, in a park, on 6th street or SOCO, in a sports field or a railroad track. Half the fun is deciding what location will work best for photography. Then we find just the right time of day and do the photo session. These are fun, fast and will create a memory for a lifetime.
